Privacy notice

This notice explains how CarbonHedge FZCO (“CarbonHedge”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit this website, contact us, or enter into a business relationship with us. We are the controller of that data.

1. Who we are

CarbonHedge FZCO is a free zone company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with registered address ADDRESS LINE 1, FREE ZONE NAME, Dubai, UAE, and licence number LICENCE NO. You can reach us at privacy@carbonhedge.net.

2. What data we collect

  • Data you give us. Name, company, role, business email address, telephone number, country, and the content of any enquiry or correspondence.
  • Onboarding data. Where a business relationship proceeds, identification and verification documents required by applicable know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering rules.
  • Technical data. IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and referring page, collected through server logs in order to operate and secure the site.

This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is transmitted to Google when a page loads. If you prefer to avoid this, the fonts can be self-hosted on request.

3. Why we use it and on what basis

  • To respond to your enquiry. Basis: your consent, and our legitimate interest in conducting business correspondence.
  • To provide services and perform a contract. Basis: performance of a contract with you or your organisation.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations. Basis: compliance with a legal obligation, including record-keeping, sanctions screening and anti-money-laundering requirements.
  • To operate and secure this website. Basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and protected against abuse.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with: our hosting and email providers acting as processors on our instructions; professional advisers bound by confidentiality; counterparties, brokers, exchanges, registries or clearing providers where this is necessary to execute or settle a transaction you have instructed; and public authorities where we are legally required to do so.

5. International transfers

We are established in the United Arab Emirates and our website is hosted in GERMANY / HOSTING COUNTRY. Where personal data is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. Details are available on request.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted within RETENTION PERIOD months. Where a relationship is established, records are retained for the period required by applicable commercial, tax and anti-money-laundering legislation, which may be up to RETENTION PERIOD years after the relationship ends. Server logs are retained for RETENTION PERIOD days.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@carbonhedge.net. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. In the UAE, you may contact the competent authority under the applicable data protection legislation.

8. Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection. We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including access control, encryption in transit and restricted handling of onboarding documentation. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; please do not send confidential or price-sensitive information through the website contact form.

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Material changes affecting an existing business relationship will be notified directly.
