Our services are offered only to professional and corporate counterparties, and only in jurisdictions in which they may lawfully be offered without authorisation. Nothing on this site is directed at any person in a jurisdiction where its publication or availability would be contrary to local law.
3. No advice, no offer
All content on this website is published for general information only. It does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. It is not, and must not be construed as:
- investment, legal, tax or accounting advice;
- a personal recommendation to enter into any transaction;
- an offer, solicitation or invitation to buy or sell any financial instrument, commodity, emission allowance, certificate or carbon credit;
- a forecast, guarantee or indication of achievable prices or outcomes.
You should obtain independent professional advice before entering into any transaction.
4. Risk disclosure
Trading and hedging in commodities, environmental products and derivatives involves substantial risk and is not suitable for every organisation. In particular:
- Price risk. Prices of emission allowances, carbon credits, energy, metals and freight are volatile and can move sharply and without warning.
- Leverage. Derivative positions may require margin. Losses can exceed the amount initially committed and additional funds may be required at short notice.
- Regulatory risk. Compliance schemes change. Scope, allocation, eligibility criteria and surrender obligations may be amended, and such changes can materially affect the value and usability of an instrument.
- Liquidity risk. Some environmental products and bespoke structures trade thinly. It may not be possible to close or transfer a position at a desired time or price.
- Basis risk. A hedge referenced to an index or benchmark may not move in line with your underlying exposure, and may increase rather than reduce volatility.
- Counterparty and settlement risk. Over-the-counter transactions expose you to the performance of your counterparty, and registry transfers depend on third-party systems.
- Eligibility risk. A credit or certificate may cease to be eligible for a given compliance purpose, or a claim based on it may be challenged.
Past performance and historical price behaviour are not a reliable indicator of future results. Any figures, charts or examples on this site are illustrative and do not represent actual transactions or achievable prices.
5. Accuracy and availability
We take reasonable care to ensure that information on this site is accurate when published, but we give no warranty that it is complete, current or free from error. Regulatory timelines in particular are summarised and simplified. We may change or withdraw content at any time and are not obliged to update it. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the site.
